What it does

Dedicated page per city

Each city you serve gets its own URL (e.g. /locations/tampa, /locations/clearwater). Each page has unique content, local landmarks, and city-specific FAQs. Not duplicate content - genuinely different pages.

Local search optimization built in

Every location page includes LocalBusiness schema, Place schema, and structured data showing your service area. Google uses this to populate map results, knowledge panels, and 'near me' searches.

Internal linking that scales SEO

Service pages auto-link to relevant location pages. Location pages auto-link to your services. This topical clustering is what Google's local algorithm rewards. The more cities and services you add, the stronger the cluster.

How it works

Step 1

Add the cities you serve

Type each city name and state. Most local businesses serve 3-7 cities (their primary city plus surrounding areas). The basic Grow Local plan includes 5 location pages. Need more? Our managed agency tier handles 20-50+ locations.

Step 2

AI writes unique content for each city

Within 60 seconds of adding a city, AI generates unique content emphasizing your service area in that specific city. Different landmarks, neighborhoods, and concerns per city. No copy-paste duplicate content that gets penalized.

Step 3

Edit and personalize per city

Add city-specific photos (neighborhood shots, local landmarks). Edit the page intro to mention specific neighborhoods you serve. Update FAQs with city-relevant questions. AI handles the basics, you add the local touch.

Step 4

Track local search performance

Use the Leads & Analytics tab to see which cities drive the most calls and form submissions. Some cities outperform expectations. Some need additional content. Data tells you where to invest more effort.

Why one location page per city is local SEO's biggest unlock

Google's local search algorithm uses geographic relevance as a primary ranking signal. When someone searches 'plumber tampa,' Google looks for pages explicitly about Tampa - not pages about 'Tampa Bay area' or 'Florida.' Sites with dedicated Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg pages rank in all three cities. Sites with one generic 'service area' page rank in none of them.

Beyond search rankings, dedicated location pages dramatically improve conversion. A customer in Clearwater who lands on your generic homepage sees a Tampa phone number and assumes you don't serve their area. The same customer landing on a Clearwater-specific page sees Clearwater photos, Clearwater testimonials, and confidence that you actually work there. Conversion rate improves 30-60% for visitors arriving via location-specific search.

And local search is still the highest-intent traffic source for local services. Someone searching 'electrician fort worth' is ready to call. Someone searching 'electrician' generally isn't. Capturing high-intent geographic searches via dedicated location pages is the single biggest lever in local SEO - and it's exactly what most generic website builders make impossible.

Common questions before you sign up

Won't multiple location pages look like duplicate content to Google?

No - because the pages aren't duplicates. AI generates unique content per city (different landmarks, neighborhoods, regional concerns), and you customize further. Google penalizes verbatim copy-paste duplication, not multiple pages on the same topic with unique content. Done right (the Grow Local way), location pages are SEO gold.

What if I serve a large area, not specific cities?

Grow Local works for both. Add the 5 most-searched cities in your service area as your primary location pages. Then in your business info or about page, mention you serve the surrounding region. This captures high-intent searches for the named cities while still signaling your wider service area to Google.

Can I add neighborhood pages within a city?

Neighborhood pages (e.g. /tampa/hyde-park, /tampa/west-tampa) are available on our managed agency tier. They're powerful for dense urban markets but add complexity to manage. The basic Grow Local plan covers cities only, which is right for 80% of local service businesses.

FAQs

How many locations can I have on the basic plan?
Up to 5 cities on the basic Grow Local plan ($99/month). This works for most local service businesses serving a single metro area. Need more cities, neighborhood-level pages, or multi-state coverage? Our managed agency tier handles 20-50+ locations and supports neighborhood pages.
Should I add nearby small towns or just my main service area?
Add cities where you actually want customers, in order of search volume. A plumber in Tampa should add Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Brandon, and Largo before adding tiny suburbs. Higher-search-volume cities give better SEO return. If you serve 20+ cities, prioritize the top 5 by population or search volume.
Does Google actually rank these dedicated location pages?
Yes, when done right - and Grow Local does it right. Each location page has unique content, proper LocalBusiness schema, internal links, and city-specific FAQs. This is the Google-approved pattern. Customers consistently see top-3 rankings in cities where they have dedicated pages within 1-3 months.
What if I expand to a new city?
Just add it. Click 'Add a city' in the Locations tab, type the city name and state. Within 60 seconds, AI generates the page. Add city-specific images and personal touches. The new page is live and indexable immediately. Many customers add new cities seasonally as their business grows.
Can I serve cities outside the United States?
Yes. Grow Local supports any city, state/province, and country combination. Location pages render with appropriate regional schema and currency. Spanish, French, and Portuguese content generation is on our roadmap for Q3 2026. English-language content for any country is available now.
How do location pages affect my Google Business Profile?
Positively. Your GBP and location pages reinforce each other - both signaling to Google that you serve specific geographic areas. Make sure your NAP (name, address, phone) is consistent between your Business Info tab and your GBP. Inconsistent NAP is the #1 reason businesses underperform in local search.
What about service area businesses without a physical address?
Grow Local supports both physical and service-area businesses. Mobile services (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, towing) don't need a public address - we'll mark your business as a 'service area only' provider and Google will respect that. Schema markup adjusts accordingly.
Can I track which location page generates the most leads?
Yes - the Leads & Analytics tab shows per-city performance. See which city pages drive calls, form submissions, and total inquiries. Use the data to invest more in high-performing cities (better photos, more local content, more service pages targeting that city).
