What it does

Performance KPIs at a glance

Phone calls, contact form submissions, total leads, total services, total locations. Updated in real time. Compared to previous period so you see growth trends, not just absolute numbers.

Onboarding progress tracker

Your setup completion percentage with priority recommendations. New customers see exactly what to do next to maximize their SEO. Established customers see their site is 100% optimized.

Recent leads with full context

The 5 most recent leads with name, phone, message, type (call vs form), and timestamp. Click any to expand and see the full message. No more checking 3 different inboxes.

How it works

Step 1

Log into the dashboard

Click 'Log in' on growlocal.build, enter your email, and you're in. No password to remember - we use magic link authentication for security and convenience.

Step 2

See your KPIs immediately

The Overview tab is the default landing page. Top section shows your onboarding progress (with priority next steps if you're new). Middle section shows 5 KPI cards. Bottom section shows recent leads.

Step 3

Navigate to deeper views

The sidebar has 9 tabs: Edit Business Info, Design, Services, Locations, Images, Domain, Leads & Analytics, Reports, My Website. Click any tab to drill into details. The Overview gives you the 30-second snapshot.

Step 4

Check daily for 2 minutes

Most customers spend 2-5 minutes per day in the dashboard. Check the Overview for new leads. Respond to high-priority contacts. Pop into other tabs only when you need to update content or images.

Why most local businesses are flying blind on their own website

Ask 10 local service business owners how many leads their website generated last month. 8 of them can't tell you. The leads come in via call, form, text, email, and Google Business Profile - and most don't track which channel drove which lead. Without that data, you can't tell if your marketing is working. The Grow Local dashboard centralizes lead tracking in one screen so you always know your website's actual ROI.

Beyond aggregate numbers, the Dashboard helps you respond to leads faster. Local service customers compare 3-5 businesses on average. The first business to respond wins 35-50% of the time. Seeing new leads the moment they come in - rather than checking email an hour later - directly improves your close rate. Most Grow Local customers configure mobile push notifications so they're alerted immediately when a lead comes in.

And the onboarding tracker prevents the most common mistake new users make: a half-built site that doesn't rank because key signals are missing. We've measured this across 200+ customers: sites with 100% onboarding completion outrank sites at 70% completion by an average of 5-8 positions for their primary keywords. The priority recommendations on the Overview tell you exactly what to fix to close that gap.

Common questions before you sign up

I already use Google Analytics - why do I need this?

Google Analytics shows traffic and behavior. Grow Local Dashboard shows leads and revenue. They complement each other. Most customers keep GA for deep traffic analysis and use the Grow Local Dashboard for daily operational decisions (who called? who messaged? what services need updating?). You can have both.

What if I'm not technical and dashboards intimidate me?

The Overview is designed for non-technical users. Clear labels, big numbers, no jargon. If you can read a phone bill, you can read the Grow Local Dashboard. Most customers self-onboard without ever contacting support. Drop-down explanations are inline for every KPI if you want more detail.

Does the dashboard work on mobile?

Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive. Most customers actually check the dashboard primarily on their phone - sidebar collapses to a top nav, KPI cards stack vertically. You can review leads, respond to messages, and update content from your phone while on a job site.

How Grow Local Dashboard compares

Most builders give you nothing. Marketing platforms charge extra. Grow Local includes the full dashboard at $99/month.

FAQs

How real-time is the data on the dashboard?
Lead and call data updates within 60 seconds of the event happening. KPI cards refresh on each page load. Recent leads update automatically every 30 seconds when you have the dashboard open in your browser. The Reports tab generates PDFs on demand using the latest data at the moment you click download.
Can multiple people from my team access the dashboard?
Currently single-user per tenant on the basic plan ($99/month). Multi-user team access (with role-based permissions) is on our roadmap for Q2 2026. Our managed agency tier already supports multi-user access for $500+/month accounts.
What if I want to see data older than what the dashboard shows?
The Dashboard Overview shows current period data. The Leads & Analytics tab gives you 6-12 months of history with monthly trends, all-time totals, and best-month tracking. The Reports tab generates downloadable PDFs for any date range you choose. Older data is retained indefinitely.
Does the dashboard integrate with my CRM?
Direct CRM integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, etc.) are on our roadmap for late 2026. Today, you can export lead data via CSV from the Reports tab and import it into any CRM. Most local businesses don't actually need a CRM - the Grow Local Dashboard IS their lead management system.
Can I get notified when new leads come in?
Yes. Email notifications are enabled by default - you get an email the moment a lead submits a form or clicks your phone number. You can adjust frequency (instant vs. daily summary) in the Settings tab. Mobile push notifications via the dashboard PWA are on our roadmap for Q3 2026.
How accurate is the call click tracking?
Very accurate. We track every click on your click-to-call buttons sitewide - sidebar, footer, hero CTA, service pages, location pages. This tells you exactly how many people tried to call you. We don't track which calls converted to bookings (that requires you to mark in your records), but click tracking + your conversion rate gives you a reliable revenue estimate.
What does the onboarding completion percentage actually measure?
9 key SEO signals: business name, business type, phone, address, hours, ratings/reviews, logo, hero image, and Google Business Profile URL. Sites at 100% have all signals filled. Sites under 100% see priority recommendations in the Overview telling them exactly what to add next.
Why are some KPIs missing or showing 0 for me?
New sites show 0 leads until you actually get leads (typically 1-4 weeks after launch). The 'Total Services' and 'Total Locations' KPIs update the moment you add services and cities. Form submissions show 0 until your first form is submitted. Call clicks show 0 until your first click-to-call event. All KPIs grow organically as your site generates traffic.
